Stalemate at the CarlsbergStalemate at the Carlsberg It ended goalless at the Carlsberg Stadium as Fleet held play-off chasing Biggleswade Town 0-0. The Blues had plenty of the game and came closest with a Pat Cox shot that hit the bar. The whole team performed superbly and other chances fell to Hunter, King and Vicente in an all action game. At the other end Wayne Shaw looked assured and confident as he mopped up the hosts few chances.

Blues lose out at UxbridgeBlues lose out at Uxbridge Fleet conceded twice in quick succession through a 54 min penalty and a 56 free kick that gave hosts Uxbridge a flattering 3-0 victory after they had opened the scoring in the first half. Despite their pressure the Blues couldnt score though Danilson Vicente created and had the best chances to get a deserved goal.

Taylor at the double in Blues victoryTaylor at the double in Blues victory

Two goals from striker James Taylor secured a precious, but deserved 2-0 away victory for Fleet at Chertsey on Bank Holiday Monday. The goals came in the 75th & 85th and followed a solid defensive performance up until then.

Leaders only just overcome BluesLeaders only just overcome Blues

Fleet almost caused an upset against runaway league leaders Slough Town before succumbing to a 1-0 defeat. The Blues were hampered after keeper Ryan Pryce was dismissed on 38 mins and striker James Taylor had to don the gloves. The stand-in stopper looked assured but was eventually beaten by 65th min winner. Debutant Vicente could have equalised but failed to find the target after a good run.

FTFC Youth game postponed Thursday evenings FTFC Youth game against Thatcham Town has been postponed

Next Opponents - Bedworth United Bedworth United come to Calthrope Park on Saturday for the first time looking to consolidate their play-off position. Lying in 3rd, they have won 7 out of 12 games on their travels. We will be looking to avenge a 3-1 defeat at their ground earlier this season as we aim to pull away from the danger zone.

16 year gap - is it a record? Wayne Shaw played in goal for the Blues against Biggleswade almost 16.5 years since his previous appearance....The big keeper signed on loan from Sutton United as cover for Ryan Pryce and marked his return with a supern clean sheet.

Southern League Results We stay 21st despite our point at Biggleswade. With Marlow not playing and North Greenfords game postponed, the big surprise was fellow strugglers Aylesbury 2-0 win over leaders Slough. Elsewhere around us Bedfont lost 1-0 to Barton and Daventry drop towards the danger zone after losing 3-0 at Burnham. At the top only St Neots won (2-0 v Beaconsfield) as Bedworth also lost (2-0 at home to Chalfont St P).
