Eastleigh striker Paul Sales netted twice as his side extended their current winning run at the expense of Hampshire neighbours, Fleet Town.
Sales' strikes either side of half-time sealed this seventh consecutive win for high-spending Eastleigh, after strike partner, Robbie Matthews had put the visitors ahead early on.
But with Fleet themselves defending a seven-match unbeaten run, Eastleigh were made to work hard throughout, providing high-octane entertainment for Calthorpe Park's biggest crowd of the season to date.
Fleet started the match strongly and could have gone ahead in the 2nd minute when striker Craig Leworthy ran on to a pass from skipper, Craig Anstey, but shot wide.
Slow at first, the visitors were in full flow when in the 19th minute, Matthews ran unchallenged on to a long distance clearance from his 6 foot 5 inch namesake Colin, in the Eastleigh goal, to score with a powerful shot.
Fleet immediately responded with an attack down the left, finishing with Matthews saving from Fleet front-man, Steve Whitcher.
Fleet heads dropped a few minutes later when Sales beat the off-side trap to score easily with a well-struck shot.
Four minutes after the interval, Sales netted his second, a well-struck left-footed strike from distance, which Fleet keeper, Calvin Sparshatt couldn't prevent from going in off the underside of the crossbar.
To their credit Fleet continued to press hard and enjoyed good possession without seriously troubling Matthews in the Eastleigh goal. Late on, Matthews was given a more severe test from a spate of free-kicks and corners, one of which almost giving sub Eddie Smith the goal his side had deserved.
