Fleet Town kept their cup hopes alive by brushing aside Conference South opponents, Havant & Waterlooville on Tuesday night. The comfortable win takes Fleet on to a tough semi-final clash away at Ryman Premier outfit, Eastleigh in two weeks time.
With the visitors fielding a reserve team line-up, Fleet took the early initiative, and grabbed the lead early on, courtesy of a great finish by front-man, David OcQuaye. Phil Archbold then made it 2-0, six minutes later with a fine lob over the head of Havant keeper, David Leaver.
Just before half-time, Havant should have got one back, but Fleet Keeper, Paul Smith made a fine save to deny Havant front-man, Derek Gauntlett.
After the break the visitors, came back well and created plenty of chances to get back in the tie, Gauntlett coming close on several occasions.
Fleet continued to look dangerous on the break, and wingman, Tinoi Christie also had several chances to extend his side's lead, but missed the target each time.
