Report by Steve Cantle
A last minute goal from striker, James Rose sealed this contest and provided Fleet with their first FA Trophy win for many a season.
Rose had earlier put Fleet ahead in the 34th minute, heading in a free-kick from new wingman Aaron Lennon. Fleet then defended their lead well until the Doc Martens side squared things in the 75th minute with a goal from Sid Nelson.
Fleet pressed for the winner, but it looked like a Tuesday night replay, until in the 6th minute of extra-time, Rose tapped in a fine cross from defender, Paul George to snatch the win.
The reward for Fleet is an attractive home tie on 12 November, in the 2nd round, against either Kingstonian or Aveley who drew on Sunday 2-2 at Kingstonian, and now replay this week.
Fleet return to league action on Saturday at Calthorpe Park, when the visitors will be Ramsgate.
