Stalemate at Imperial Fields
Fleet Town were held to a rare goalless draw on Wednesday night as they travelled to Balham, who set themselves up to frustrate their visitors and protect an unbeaten home record in the league this season.
The point being enough to return Fleet Town to third, after they were passed by a couple of sides that played on Tuesday night.
With defences on top, attacking chances were at a premium and neither side could break through. Balham’s hopes were dealt a blow in the second half when defender Oliver Meadows was sent off after Sixty Four minutes when he picked up his second Yellow card in the space of only five minutes. Despite being reduced to ten players, Balham held out and the game finished 0-0.
