Craig Moore Joins as New U18s Academy Manager
We are delighted to announce the appointment of a new U18s Academy Manager, marking a key step forward in the club’s commitment to player development and strengthening the pathway between youth and senior football.
With an impressive background in the game, including playing at Steps 2 to 5 and managing Step 4 side Westfield, the new manager brings both experience and passion to the role. He has also enjoyed success with youth sides at Farnham, winning competitions in the Junior Premier League as well as the Surrey and Hampshire county cups.
“After a short break from senior football following my time at Westfield, I really wanted to come back into the game at the right club,” he said. “When the opportunity came up to work at Fleet Town, it was a no-brainer. To get the chance to work at a club like Fleet is a privilege.”
“My ambition is to provide the first team with players ready to make the step up to Step 5 and Step 4 football,”
With a clear focus on developing talent, the new Academy Manager is determined to create a pipeline of players capable of stepping up to senior football.
“My ambition is to provide the first team with players ready to make the step up to Step 5 and Step 4 football,” he added. “I’ve got a close relationship with Darryl Evans, the first-team Manager and the production of players for the first team is what excites me.”
Describing his coaching style, he said: “I like my teams to get the ball down and play with high intensity – both in and out of possession. I’ll also bring back some old school football values that have been a bit forgotten in the modern game, which will help prepare the lads for a senior football career – and life in general!”
He believes Fleet Town is perfectly placed to support the next generation: “It’s a great club with good values that is thriving. Now, with close links between the U18s and the senior side, it’s the perfect place for young players to start their senior football journey.”
And when asked who his dream U23’s player to work with would be? His answer was simple: “Jude Bellingham.”
We would also like to thank Nathan Cookson, Mark McGown & Zac Chillery for the great work they have done running the U18’s up to this point and wish them luck in there future roles.
Welcome to the Easy As HGV stadium Craig and we look forward to seeing the next wave of talent rise through the ranks!
Sponsor the U18’s Academy Side
We are also actively seeking a front-of-shirt sponsor for the U18s Academy team for the upcoming seasons. This is a fantastic opportunity for a local or national business to support the development of young talent while gaining year-round brand exposure through match day kits, programmes, extensive club social media coverage and community engagement.
With strong links to the senior team and participation in the high-profile youth competitions like the FA Youth Cup, Hampshire Cup and Allied Counties Youth League, your brand will be seen across Hampshire, Surrey and beyond. Support the next generation—partner with Fleet Town today.
