Darryl Evans’ thoughts after Saturdays draw and going into the Vase this weekend!

Darryl Evans shared his thoughts on Saturdays 2-2 draw against Epsom and going into this weekends FA Vase match against Sutton Athletic.

After our recent 2-2 draw against Epsom & Ewell it turned into a game full of lessons for the squad. Coming from behind to secure a point demonstrated our resilience and fighting spirit. The determination to keep pushing, even when trailing, is something to be proud of.

However, there’s a sense of frustration over missed opportunities, especially in the first half when we had several chances to take control of the game. By halftime, we should have been comfortably ahead, but that wasn’t the case. Epsom punished us in the second half with a fantastic second goal, but we responded well, with Boney finding the back of the net to get us back level.

On Saturday in our FA Vase fixture against Sutton Athletic, a fantastic opportunity for us to progress to the next round. It’s set to be a tough test, but we believe we’re more than capable of rising to the challenge.

We remain unbeaten in the league, and a strong performance in the Vase will not only continue our momentum but also keep alive hopes of a successful cup run this season.
