Darryl Evans Thoughts After Spelthorne Away!

Darryl Evans gave his thoughts after Saturdays 3-1 win against Spelthorne Sports.

A dominant performance saw us secure a 3-1 win against Spelthorne. We started strong, controlling the play and creating numerous chances. However, despite our dominance, we were only able to break the deadlock through an own goal. In reflection we should have gone in at the break 4-1 Spelthorne equalized just before half-time, capitalizing on a defensive lapse from a corner that we failed to clear. The teams went in level at the break, 1-1.

After regrouping at half-time, we came out strong and took control early in the second half. Matt Surmon restored our lead with a well-taken goal, (slight deflection lol) before Chike Kandi sealed the victory with a clinical finish.

From there, we saw the game out with ease, controlling possession and nullifying any Spelthorne threat. A solid team effort and well-deserved three points!
