Darryl’s programme notes ahead of tomorrow night against Tadley

Darryl Evans gave his thoughts ahead of tomorrow nights home match against Tadley Calleva at the Easy As HGV Stadium.

Good evening and welcome to tonight’s game against Tadley Calleva. We extend a warm welcome to Joe and his staff, players, and supporters who have made the trip to join us under the lights for what promises to be an exciting encounter.

Tadley are having another great season, building on last year’s success when they secured a playoff position. Currently sitting 9th in the league, their record of 9 wins, 3 draws, and 5 defeats from 17 games reflects their consistency and competitiveness. Joe’s management style is well known for instilling a relentless work ethic in his players, and they always give 100%, making them a formidable opponent.

They arrive here on the back of a hard-fought 3-1 loss to Whyteleafe in the FA Vase. Tadley held their own for much of the game, keeping their opponents at bay until the 86th minute before falling just short. This resilience highlights the challenge we’ll face tonight, and we know we’ll need to be at our best to come away with a positive result.

For us, tonight’s match marks the start of a demanding festive period. After a solid win against Sandhurst, we’re eager to keep our momentum going despite a few suspensions and injuries. Fortunately, with the depth in our squad and some new faces joining the team, we’re confident we can put on a strong performance and push for another three points.

Thank you for your continued support, which is vital during this busy period. Let’s get behind the team tonight and make it a memorable game!
