Darryl’s thoughts ahead of Horley Town at home!

Darryl Evans gave his programme notes going into to tomorrows match against Horley Town at the Easy As HGV Stadium.

Firstly, I want to take a moment to congratulate our players and coaching staff on their incredible achievements in this year’s FA Vase.

To reach such a historic milestone and narrowly miss out in a tough away fixture at Whitstable is heartbreaking, but it’s also something to be immensely proud of. We’ve made history, and we will learn from this experience as we look to come back even stronger.

Turning our focus to today’s game against Horley, they currently sit 8th in the league and are 6th in the form guide, having taken 13 points from their last six matches, the same as us. Although we are separated by 12 points in the table, we hold five games in hand, making this an important fixture as we aim to build momentum for the final stretch of the season.

Horley also have an in-form attacking threat in Lewis Pearch, who has been causing problems for defence’s all season. We’ll need to be at our best to contain him and impose ourselves on the game.

After our unfortunate cup exit, our focus now turns to the league, where we are determined to finish strongly and keep our sights firmly on the promotion places.

As always, we are grateful for the incredible support from our fans, both home and away. Your backing means everything to us, and we truly appreciate every one of you who has followed us throughout the season, you are simply the best!

Let’s hope for another three points today as we look to regain momentum and push on in these crucial final months.

Enjoy the game!
