Darryl’s thoughts ahead of Jersey Bulls at Home!
Darryl Evans gave his thoughts going into to tomorrows match at home to Jersey Bulls at the Easy As HGV Stadium.
Good afternoon and welcome to the Easy as HGV Stadium for today’s Combined Counties League clash against the in-form team of the league, Jersey Bulls.
As we approach the halfway point of the season, we’re in a strong position, sitting inside the playoffs with games in hand on the teams around us. That said, Jersey Bulls will pose one of our toughest challenges yet. Under the guidance of Elliott Powell, they’ve established themselves as the team to beat this season, bouncing back with determination after last year’s heartbreak in the playoffs against AFC Croydon.
Jersey come here hungry to regain momentum after their recent loss in the FA Vase, so we know they’ll be fired up. However, we too come into this game with confidence, having taken points recently from strong sides like Whyteleafe, Redhill, and Cobham. Add to that our unbeaten home league form, and we feel quietly confident that we can rise to the occasion today.
This promises to be a fantastic spectacle for Non-League football, with two sides eager to make a statement. I have no illusions about how difficult today’s match will be, but with our fans behind us and our current form, I firmly believe we can get the result and keep the pressure on the teams around us.
Finally, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the club and our loyal fans for their unwavering support. Your encouragement is vital, and it gives the players the freedom and confidence to play their football. Let’s create another brilliant atmosphere today and keep driving the team forward.
