Fleet Town U13 Panthers Win the Double – Again!
Fleet Town FC’s U13 Panthers have brought home the double for the second consecutive season.
The team once again secured the top spot in the First Division of the Surrey Women and Girls U13 League – one of the most competitive leagues in the South of England – following their match against Worcester Park U13 Purples (Vision Girls Academy).
This achievement followed celebrations winning the League Cup for the third consecutive season.
This season, the standard of football in the top division was markedly higher, with several teams vying for the trophy. It’s great to see how girls football is quickly developing and improving with each generation, and to see our girls stepping up their game to meet the challenge.
Team Manager, Chris Balchin, who has been running the Panthers since 2022, summarised the team’s performance.
“The quality of football has really been at the maximum at times this season and when the girls have had questions asked they’ve answered and some, with friendship and togetherness. They never felt sorry for themselves, just kept believing.
I genuinely couldn’t be prouder of the girls. The strength and resilience they’ve shown is remarkable.
To win such a competitive league, the highest standard in the county, not once but twice, back-to-back, is a testament to the girls, their parents and everyone involved with Fleet Town.”
