New signing announcement: Liam Avery joins Fleet Town FC
Fleet Town FC are pleased to confirm the signing of midfielder Liam Avery, who joins us after spells at Met Police FC and Sheerwater FC last season.
A strong and composed presence in the centre of the park, Liam is known for his quality on the ball, ability to break up play, and leadership both on and off the pitch. Never one to shy away from a challenge, he adds grit, control, and valuable experience to our midfield ranks.
Liam joined Met Police on dual registration at the back end of last season alongside still playing for Sheerwater FC our Combined Counties Premier Division South counterparts. Liam captained the Sheers on a number of occasions last season. He has also previously played for Godalming Town.
Speaking about the new addition, First Team Manager Darryl Evans said:
“Liam brought great stability to Sheerwater and stepped up impressively at Step Four with Met Police, proving he could handle the physicality and tempo at a higher level.”
