Player Expenses Policy

Fleet Town Football Club Player Agreement

A signed copy of his policy represents the only terms under which Fleet Town Football Club Ltd pays player expenses when not under contract.

Introduction

This Terms and Conditions document (“Agreement”) outlines the expectations, obligations, and benefits applicable to players (“Player”) selected to represent the Men’s 1st Team of Fleet Town Football Club (“Club”) for the 20xx/xx season. This Agreement is not legally binding, but serves as a mutual understanding between the Player, the First Team Manager (“Manager”), and the Club regarding remuneration, standards of conduct, participation and Club operations. The Agreement is valid only when signed by the Player, the Manager and a Club Representative and replaces any other agreement previously in place between the Club and Player. [Insert player name]

Duration of Agreement

This Agreement is valid for a maximum of 40 weeks, starting from 1st August 20xx, or until the official conclusion of the 20xx/xx season, or the player leaves the club, whichever comes first. Amendments or early terminations must be discussed and agreed upon in writing by all three parties. 

Weekly Expenses & Payment Structure

  • A week runs from Saturday (matchday) to the following Friday, within the same calendar month
  • Weekly expenses are only paid if a match is played during that week
  • If no match is played, no weekly expenses are payable
  • If a player is on the bench on Saturday and starts on Tuesday, the higher Starting XI rate applies
  • Only one weekly payment is made, based on the highest applicable amount for that week

Agreed weekly expenses [Insert £X]

  1. Players will receive 100% of agreed weekly expenses if they: Are selected in the starting eleven and attend scheduled training sessions.
  2. Players will receive 70% of agreed weekly expenses if they: Are selected in the starting eleven and DO NOT attend scheduled training sessions.
  3. Players will receive 50% of agreed weekly expenses if they: Are selected as a substitute and attend scheduled training sessions.
  4. Players will receive 25% of agreed weekly expenses if they: Are selected in as a substitute and DO NOT attend scheduled training sessions.
  5. Players will receive 0% of weekly expenses if they are not included in the matchday squad

Kit Deposit

A deposit of £100 will be deducted from the Player’s expenses to cover the issue of official kit. This deposit is fully refundable upon return of all issued kit in satisfactory condition at season’s end.

Everyone Active Gym Membership

Players who comply fully with this Agreement will receive a National Access gym membership for Everyone Active. This membership is valid only while the Player is officially registered with Fleet Town FC. If the Player is deregistered or leaves the Club before the season ends, the gym membership will be revoked with immediate effect.

Performance-Related Bonuses

Is there a performance bonus in place? Yes/ No If yes give details: Any changes to expenses or conditions based on performance bonuses must be formalised in a new version of this Agreement, signed by both the Player and the Manager and acknowledged by the Club.

Injuries and Medical

All injuries must be reported to the Manager immediately and Players must follow recovery guidance issued by the Club. Note: Players are responsible for their own medical insurance.

Media and Digital Rights

The Club & Photographer retain ownership of all photos, video footage and digital media produced during Club activities. The Club may use this content in perpetuity for publicity or commercial purposes without seeking further permission from the Player.

Disciplinary Fines and FA Charges

Players are personally responsible for paying any fines or sanctions related to misconduct or FA charges incurred through their actions.

FA Code of Conduct

All Players are required to read and sign the FA Code of Conduct, attend internal disciplinary workshops as instructed, complete any surveys and fully comply with all expectations outlined in the Code as part of their registration with Fleet Town FC.

Confidentiality

Players must not disclose their own weekly expense amounts to anyone who is not a signatory to this Agreement. Additionally, Players must keep internal team matters, tactics and other sensitive information strictly confidential and not share them outside the Club.

Conflict Resolution

In the event of any dispute or disagreement relating to this Agreement, the matter will be addressed in a meeting between the Player, Manager and a Club Representative, with outcomes recorded in writing. The player or manager can request this meeting by contacting the Director of Football, or board member if DOF not available. Failure to attend such a meeting, without due cause or notification may result in termination of this agreement.
