Craig Hayman Appointed as Women’s Team Manager
Following an internal restructure Fleet Town Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Craig Hayman as the new manager of the Women’s team. Craig brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in football management, marking an exciting new chapter for Women’s football at the club.
Craig is known for his ability to develop young talent and has been working hard to assemble a squad for Fleet Town Football Club that will compete at Tier 6 of the Women’s football pyramid.
“This year marks a significant milestone of 25 years of Women’s football at the club, and we are thrilled to welcome Craig to the Fleet Town Football Club family to drive us forward,” said Caroline Bone, Chairman of Fleet Town FC. “Craig’s dedication to the game and his impressive history of coaching success make him the ideal candidate to lead our Women’s team. We are confident that under his leadership, the team will continue to grow and reach new heights.”
Craig expressed his enthusiasm about the new role, stating…
“I am honoured to join Fleet Town Football Club and take on the responsibility of managing the Women’s team in the Southern Region Women’s Football League.The club has a strong foundation, a fantastic facility and a great package for the Women’s team aligned to the Men’s 1st team, and I am eager to get to work with the players and staff to build on the existing successes. Together, we aim to achieve our goals and be competitive in the league and in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup and the other cup competitions we will enter, and I have already assembled a squad that I believe can deliver on the ambitions.”
As Women’s Team Manager, Craig will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the team’s performance, including training, tactics, recruitment and player development. He is committed to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment, ensuring that each player has the opportunity to excel both on and off the field and push the team forward at Tier 6 of the Women’s football pyramid.
Fleet Town FC has been making significant strides in Women’s football and soon will announce a number of initiatives under the banner of “FTFCW25” to celebrate 25 years of Women’s football at the club which is a significant milestone that the club are very proud of.
Nathan Cookson who returned to the club in the close season will remain at the club and support the transition to Craig, as well as undertaking a new role at the club to support his ambitions of moving through the UEFA Coaching qualifications.”Due to a number of factors I was unable to continue in my role and I am very pleased to see Craig come in and he has my full support. Personally I am very excited that I will remain at the club in a new role” said Nathan Cookson.
