Fleet Town Women’s and Men’s Academy Teams Preparing For New Season

Fleet Town Women and Fleet Town Under 18 are preparing for their first fixtures, which have been announced by their leagues.

The successful Fleet Town Women side are being sponsored again by Elite Sports Marketing. Their reward for winning Division One South of the Southern Region Womens League last season is a promotion to the Premier Division for this 2025/26 season, which is step 5 of the Womens Pyramid. Unless they are drawn against them in the League Cup, Fleet Town Women will avoid having to go to Guernsey this season, as Guernsey Women were newly elected into the Pyramid and placed by the FA in the Division One South that Fleet Town Women played in last season.

The Premier Division is down to Eleven sides, following the withdrawal before the first game of Selsey Women. With an odd number of teams in the division all clubs will have some spare weekends without a game and the reduced number of sides mean there will only be one relegation spot at the end of the season, instead of the normal two. The womens home games will be played at The Easy As HGV Stadium on Sunday afternoons.

The other ten sides in the division with Fleet Town Women are:

  • AFC Portchester
  • Badshot Lea
  • Beaconsfield Town
  • Oxford City
  • Reading FC Community
  • Sholing
  • Southampton Women FC
  • Winchester City Flyers
  • Woodley United
  • Wycombe Wanderers

Early fixtures are showing on the Womens page of the Fleet Town FC website, starting on Sunday 31st August with a home game against Southampton Women FC, who were relegated down from Tier 4 at the end of last season (This Southampton side should not be confused with Southampton FC Women, that play in the Womens Championship, now renamed as WSL2, at Tier 2 of the Womens Pyramid). The second match is also a home fixture on Sunday 7th September against Wycombe Wanderers.

Fleet Town Women will also be competing in the Womens FA Cup, entering the competition at the Second Qualifying Round stage on Sunday 21st September. This round will be drawn after the previous round is played on 7th September.

New for 2025/26 season is a Fleet Town Womens Reserve side, they have been placed in South East Counties Womens Football League at Surrey Division One level. This is a Twelve team division and Fleet Town Women Reserves eleven opponents are: Ash United, Cranleigh, Guildford Saints, Hersham, Horley Town, Jersey Bulls, Meadow Sports, Milford and Witley, Molesey Athletic, Old Tiffinians & South Park (Reigate). Their first game will be at home to Milford and Witley on Sunday 14th September. A late change to this league is the addition of a possible extra club – Hartland Girls Youth being added into this division
