Match Preview: Fleet Town vs Knaphill

Fleet Town welcome Knaphill FC to the Mustard Seed Stadium tomorrow afternoon in the Combined Counties Premier Division South. After last weeks 4-0 victory over Sheerwater the blues will be looking to continue this form into tomorrows match

The Blues head into Saturdays match after a thumping 4-0 win over Sheerwater at the Mustard Seed Stadium, coming off the back of a good run of form, currently standing at four games undefeated. At this moment in time we sit 9th in the league table on 25 points, with the chance to progress further up the table after this weekends fixtures. Hopefully we see this great run of form continue in to what will be a very tough match against one of the best sides in the division.

Knaphill currently sit 2nd on 36 points in the league table just three points behind top of the league Farnham Town. Their top scorer is Sebastian Karczewski who has found the back of the net 8 times this season. The Knapper’s are also on a great run of form and have not lost in their last 8 league games. Earlier on in the season we visited Knaphill for our second league game, which saw the blues defeated 3-2 at Redding Way. The goal scorers on the day for Fleet were Naz Miah and Fareed Hakeem-Habeeb. Knaphill’s goal scorers were Jake Hawker, who scored twice, and Calvin Camara with the other goal.

Last Seasons head to head saw a 3-0 loss for Fleet at the Mustard Seed Stadium with two goals for Dan Bone, who is now back playing for Fleet, and the other scored by Will May. In the reverse fixture it finished a 1-1 draw. The goal scorers were Jared Myers for Fleet Town, and Jake Woods for Knaphill.
