Markus Grad joins the board at Fleet Town FC
Fleet Town FC are delighted to announce that Markus Grad has joined the Board of Directors at the football club.
Markus brings with him a wealth of commercial experience, strong leadership skills and a genuine passion for football and community sport. His appointment represents another exciting step forward as we continue to grow both on and off the pitch.
As part of the Board of Directors, Markus will play an important role in supporting the club’s long-term vision, strengthening community engagement and helping drive future development across all areas of Fleet Town FC. Everyone at the club is looking forward to welcoming Markus and working together on an exciting future ahead.
Speaking of his appointment, Markus said:
“I’m incredibly proud to be joining Fleet Town FC at such an exciting time for the club. From my very first conversations, it was clear there is genuine ambition, strong community values and a real desire to continue building something special both on and off the pitch.
“Football has always been a huge part of my life and I’m looking forward to bringing my experience and energy to help support the club’s long-term vision. I’m excited to work alongside everyone involved at Fleet Town FC and play my part in helping the club continue moving forward.”
Raised and based in Berkshire, Markus has built a career that blends entrepreneurship, commercial leadership and a lifelong passion for football.
A key part of Markus’s professional journey was founding British Medical Auctions, a company that grew into a respected international marketplace specialising in the sale and redistribution of medical equipment. Building the business from the ground up, Markus identified an opportunity within the healthcare sector to create a more efficient and transparent way for hospitals and organisations to buy and sell surplus medical equipment. Through strong leadership, strategic growth and a hands-on approach, he helped develop British Medical Auctions into a trusted name operating across both UK and international markets.
Football has always remained central to Markus’s life. A lifelong supporter of Chelsea F.C. for more than 50 years, he has developed a true understanding and passion for the game both on and off the pitch.
His connection to football has also been personal through his son’s involvement within the Reading F.C. academy system, where he spent seven years progressing through the setup. That experience provided Markus with valuable insight into player development pathways, academy structures and the standards required within elite youth football.
Alongside this, Markus spent five years coaching junior teams at Ascot United F.C., further strengthening his grassroots football experience and understanding of youth development. His time working with young players reinforced the importance of community, coaching standards and creating positive environments for players to grow both on and off the pitch.
We are excited to welcome Markus to Fleet Town FC and look forward to the experience, energy and ambition he will bring to the club as we continue building for the future.
