Mihail and Luke’s Pre-Match Thoughts

Mihail Marinescu and Luke Barron give their thoughts going into Saturdays match against Alton FC in the Combined Counties Premier Division South.

Mihail Marinescu:

As the Alton game is approaching I feel like we have been preparing ourselves well for it and training has been really good and intense, we have a good streak of wins to build up momentum to lead up to big games like this, last time we played Alton we lost but we feel more prepared this time. This is what we have been working for and this is our chance to get into play offs and get 3 points to leave a big mark onto the league. For this game we are going to need everyone at one hundred percent and the fans of Fleet behind us.

Luke Barron:

We are looking forward to Saturdays fixture, Alton are a good and well organised team with a couple of new additions to their playing ranks which has continued to pay off for them in positive fashion. Since we visited them earlier in the season we have continued building our own structure and it’s all rolling in together so we are expecting a very positive result come game day. The energy, mentality and togetherness around this group is really positive and we fully expect the squad to continue to impress on the pitch. As we have found ourselves earning results in various manners, even coming from behind last Saturday to win at Horley. I know that the whole team will be looking to get the right result on Saturday after the disappointment at Alton earlier in the season. Here is to hoping that Pestle can stay on the pitch this time!
